Far East Movement always had dance music in their DNA; their early breakout hit “Like a G6” established the LA trio as a major dance commodity around the world. Since then their ever growing catalog of music has been supported by renowned artists such as Skrillex, Diplo, and Afrojack. They have also performed at some of the most prestigious festivals like Ultra Music Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival, continually showcasing FM as one of the most exciting touring acts in dance music.
The group’s latest album, “Identity,” is the rst release under their own record label Transparent Music. “Identity” is the rst of its kind focusing on bridging Eastern artists with FM’s Western dance music roots. The results were celebrated in the industry evidenced by a glowing review on Billboard, and publicly shown through over 26 million plays on Youtube alone for their single “Freal Luv” with Marshmello featuring Tinashe and Chanyeol from the chart topping K-pop group EXO. FM has also branched out with a slew of collaborations on reputable labels such as Ministry of Sound, Dim Mak, and Ultra.
FM has expanded their scope by managing ten artists of various genres through their company Transparent Agency. Their roster includes rapper Dumbfoundead and producer/
DJ Yultron among others. The artists have garnered millions of social media plays, sold out national tours, and scored releases on reputable labels like OWSLA, Spinnin, Armada, and Universal. FM also has a joint label with Trap City, one of the largest dance music channels in the world (7+ million subscribers), named BredNButter with a myriad of releases having amassed millions of plays in a little over a year of existence.
Through it all, Far East Movement still loves to make their own music and are hard at work on their next full length release slated for later this year.
