Stephen Schofield

Stephen Schofield is a Los Angeles–based producer, songwriter, composer, and artist working across contemporary pop, electronic, alternative, and cinematic music. His work blends modern production with emotionally driven songwriting, drawing from influences spanning darkwave, shoegaze, grunge, and orchestral composition.

Most recently, Schofield co-wrote and co-produced Dutch rock band Kensington’s 2025 album First Rodeo, including the single “Stay,” which spent 23 weeks on the Dutch Top 40 and peaked at #13. The album debuted at #1 on the Dutch Album Charts and received the Edison Pop Award for Best Rock Album 2026.

Alongside longtime collaborator Matt Chiarelli, Schofield is one half of the production duo 528XO, creating original music for film, fashion, and commercial campaigns with credits including Tommy Hilfiger, DSW, The Kooples, Flaunt Magazine, the feature film 1800-Hot-Nite, and the short film Flesh and Blood.

He is also currently developing two artist projects set for release this year: DROVVN, a lush shoegaze collaboration with Matt Chiarelli, and his solo project NORSWRTHY, blending dark indie slowcore with Southern gothic and gospel-inspired elements.

Before expanding into music full-time, Schofield established himself as one half of the Los Angeles–based visual duo Lowfield, creating photography and album artwork for artists including Taylor Swift, Halsey, Pharrell Williams, Sabrina Carpenter, and LP. Most recently, he photographed, creative directed, and designed Kensington’s First Rodeo album campaign.
