Robert Vredeveld

Robert Vredeveld was born on March 12, 1989, in Stadskanaal (Groningen). His musical career began as a rapper, and in 2015, he graduated from the Minerva Academy for Pop Culture. After several years of creating his own music, he discovered during a writing camp organized by StukTV how much he enjoyed writing for other artists. The track ‘Vannacht’ featuring Wolter Kroes was the first result of this.

In 2020, he decided to fully focus on songwriting and co-founded Vredeveld & Russchen Music with his partner Jeroen Russchen. He has written for various artists, including Marco Schuitmaker, Kinderen voor Kinderen, and Kraantje Pappie. In 2020, he won the SBS6 television show ‘I Want Your Song’ with the song ‘Diamant’ for Mart Hoogkamer.

His first number-one hit came in 2024 with ‘Terug In De Tijd’ by Yves Berendse. This song held the number-one spot in the Dutch Top 40 for six weeks. The single has since achieved diamond status, surpassing 50 million streams.
