Rafaël Maijnard
Rafael Maijnard, born in Suriname and residing in the Netherlands, is a versatile composer, producer, musical director, pianist/keyboardist, and singer. At the age of 36, he has already built an impressive career in the Dutch music industry. As a self-made artist, Rafael began his musical journey at the age of 14, teaching himself all the necessary musical skills. Since 2013, he has been living his dream, working full-time as a performing musician.
Rafael spent years touring with the famous Dutch cover band Beethoven, playing hits from various musical styles. During this period, he shared the stage with major artists such as Marco Borsato, Lil Kleine, Maan, Kraantje Pappie, Bizzy, Kenny B, Gerard Joling, and many others. This experience provided him with a solid foundation in the live music world.
In September 2019, Rafael decided to focus more on composing, with the goal of leaving a lasting legacy in music. His talent was quickly recognized by producers Zerodix and Jordan Wayne, leading to collaborations with some of the biggest names in the Dutch music scene, including Kevin, Ronnie Flex, Yade Lauren, Frenna, Cho, Maan, Frenna, Boef, Antoon, Broederliefde, and Jonna Fraser.
Rafael has contributed to 16 successful albums and EPs, including “Wonderland” by Kevin, “Grote Versnelling” by Kevin, “Sliden” by Antoon & Ronnie Flex, and “Reflecties” by Yade Lauren. His work has resulted in four national hits, including “Alles Wat Ik Mis” by Ronnie Flex & Emma Heesters and “In De Nacht” by Yade Lauren. Additionally, he has earned numerous Gold, Platinum, and Double Platinum records.
