LangeSjaak

Jean Louis Jongeboer, also known as Sjaak, was born in 1988 in Spangen, Rotterdam, as the son of a Dutch father and a Cape Verdean mother. Sjaak was inspired to make music due to his mother’s musical preferences. At the age of sixteen (in 2004), Sjaak started producing beats. He learned to play the keyboard by watching his brother’s (Edson Evora, also known as DJ Edson) music productions, as his brother was also involved in the music industry at that time. Sjaak got his nickname from his grandfather, Sjaak Jongeboer, and rapper Bollebof added “Lange” (meaning “tall” in Dutch) to his name LangeSjaak because of his height of 2 meters. This is how the artist name LangeSjaak came about.
