Kensington

Kensington is a Dutch rock band from Utrecht, formed in 2005. The band consists of lead vocalist Jason Dowd, guitarist Casper Starreveld, bassist Jan Haker, and drummer Niles Vandenberg. They have achieved four number-one albums and three Platinum-certified records in the Netherlands.

Former lead vocalist Eloi Youssef was part of the band from 2006 to 2022. He departed after a series of six sold-out farewell concerts at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome. In 2025, American-born Jason Dowd was announced as his successor.

In 2023, De Volkskrant named Kensington “the most successful Dutch rock band of the last fifteen years.” Between 2015 and Youssef’s final show in 2022, the band sold out the Ziggo Dome 19 consecutive times, earning them the nickname “house band of the Ziggo Dome.” In 2018, Kensington also performed the largest concert ever by a Dutch rock band in the country’s history, selling out the Johan Cruyff Arena with 51,000 tickets.

On Thursday, January 16, the band released their new single, “A Moment”, as this formation. At the same time, they announced a new show at the Ziggo Dome, set to take place in December.
