CTM Outlander acquires the legendary and historic Dutch music company Strengholt Music Group

CTM Outlander is delighted to announce the acquisition of the legendary Dutch music company, Strengholt Music Group, a milestone moment for one of the world’s fastest growing indie music publishers.

Strengholt Music Group is an important part of the European entertainment company Strengholt B.V., founded in 1928, and considered one of the biggest pioneers of the Dutch music industry.

Formerly known as Warner Basart Music Publishers, Strengholt Music Group had offices all over the world and played a leading role in the Dutch music entertainment business.

The catalogue contains over 100 No.1 hits which form part of Dutch music history, a.o. composed by Boudewijn de Groot, Lennaert Nijgh, Ramses Shaffy, Hans van Eijck, Pierre Kartner, Hans van Hemert, Ferry Corsten, Radboud Miedema, John Ewbank,  Eric van Tijn and Jochem Fluitsma, and including “Engelbewaarder” by Marco Schuitmaker (a song written 40 years ago), which is currently #1 in the Netherlands.

Worldwide hits in the catalogue include:

  • “I remember Elvis Presley” – Danny Mirror

The masters catalogue also contains key songs from the Basart Records label by Anita Meyer and Conny Vandenbos and lateron on the Dureco label with hits from Corry Konings, The Smurfs, Vader Abraham, MC Miker G & Deejay Sven, De Dijk, Ben Cramer and many more.

The management and music rights activities of Purple Eye Publishing and Purple Eye Entertainment, are excluded from the transaction with CTM Outlander and continue to operate separately.
